Islam (Arabic: al-Islam, الإسلام "surrender to God") is a religion of believing in one God, Allah. With more than a quarter of a billion adherents worldwide, making Islam the second largest religion in the world after Christianity. Islam means "submission", or surrender yourself completely to God (Arabic: الله, Allāh). Followers of Islam are known as Muslims, which means "one who submits to the Lord" or more details are Muslims for men and for women's Women. Islam teaches that Allah sent down His word to man through prophets and apostles of His messengers, and earnestly believe that Muhammad was the last prophet and apostles are sent into the world by God.
Religion Islam is the religion brought by Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. With this faith God closes earlier religions. Allah has perfected this religion for His servants. With this religion is also God's blessings upon their tune. God bless only Islam as the religion they profess to be. Therefore there is no one accepted any religion other than Islam.
Allah ta'ala says,
ما كان محمد أبا أحد من رجالكم ولكن رسول الله وخاتم النبيين وكان الله بكل شيء عليما
"Muhammad was not a father of one man among you, but he is the messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets." (Surat al-Ahzab: 40)
Allah Ta'ala also says,
اليوم أكملت لكم دينكم وأتممت عليكم نعمتي ورضيت لكم الإسلام دينا
"On this day I have perfected for you your religion, and I have both ends meet My blessing upon you and I also had the pleasure of Islam a religion for you." (Surat al-Maa'idah: 3)
Allah Ta'ala also says,
إن الدين عند الله الإسلام
"Surely the true religion with Allah is Islam." (Surah Ali Imran: 19)
Allah ta'ala says,
ومن يبتغ غير الإسلام دينا فلن يقبل منه وهو في الآخرة من الخاسرين
"And whoever is looking for a religion other than Islam it will never be accepted from him and in the Hereafter he will include people who are losers." (Surat Ali 'Imran: 85)
Allah ta'ala requires that the entire human race to religion for the sake of Allah to this religion. God told the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam,
قل يا أيها الناس إني رسول الله إليكم جميعا الذي له ملك السماوات والأرض لا إله إلا هو يحيي ويميت فآمنوا بالله ورسوله النبي الأمي الذي يؤمن بالله وكلماته واتبعوه لعلكم تهتدون
"Say: O mankind, verily, I am the messenger of God for you all, He is the One who has the powers of heaven and earth, the Truth there is no god but Him, He was the one who turn on and off. So you believe in Allah and His Messenger, a Prophet who Ummi (illiterate) who believe in Allah and His sentences, and follow him so that you get guidance. "(Surat al-A'raf: 158)
In Saheeh Muslim that there is a hadith narrated from Abu pathway Hurayrah from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. He said that means, "By Him the soul of Muhammad in his hands. It is not there a man of this Ummah who heard my Prophethood, both Jewish and Christian religion and then he died in a state do not want to believe in the teachings that I brought with me but he certainly was one of the Fire. "
The nature of faith in the Prophet is by way of justifying what he brought together with the acceptance and obedience, not simply justification alone. That is why the Abu Talib could not be regarded as believers of Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, although he confirmed that his teachings had brought, he even dared to bear witness that Islam is a religion the best.
Islam has summarized all the benefit forms taught by previous religions. Islamic religion which he brought was more special than the previous religions because Islam is a doctrine that can be applied at any time, in every place and in any society. Allah Ta'ala said to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam,
وأنزلنا إليك الكتاب بالحق مصدقا لما بين يديه من الكتاب ومهيمنا
"And We have sent down to thee the Book with the right as a justification for the earlier books as well as the touchstone upon it." (Surat al-Maa'idah: 48)
The purpose of the statement that Islam be appropriate every time, place and community is to stick with it will never conflict with the good people of the future at any time and at any place. Even with Islam circumstances it would be a good race. But it was not meant by the statement that Islam is suitable for every age, place and subject to the Islamic society is the willingness of every age, place and community, as desired by some people.
Religion Islam is the true religion. A religion that has guaranteed help and victory of Allah Ta'ala for those who cling to him with the truth. Allah ta'ala says,
هو الذي أرسل رسوله بالهدى ودين الحق ليظهره على الدين كله ولو كره المشركون
"She's the agent who has sent His Messenger with guidance and true religion to be won over all the existing religions, even though the idolaters hate it." (Surah Ash Saff: 9)
Allah ta'ala says,
وعد الله الذين آمنوا منكم وعملوا الصالحات ليستخلفنهم في الأرض كما استخلف الذين من قبلهم وليمكنن لهم دينهم الذي ارتضى لهم وليبدلنهم من بعد خوفهم أمنا يعبدونني لا يشركون بي شيئا ومن كفر بعد ذلك فأولئك هم الفاسقون
"God truly has promised to those who believe and do good pious of you to make them rule over the earth as people before they have been used to power on it. And Allah will surely establish for them their religion, a religion that has blessed him to hug them. And Allah will certainly replace the previous fear upon them with a sense of peace, they worship Me and not associate me with anything. And whoever is ungrateful after that, then they are the ones who rebel. "(Surah An Nuur: 55)
Religion Islam is the doctrine that includes faith / belief and Shari'a / law. Islam is perfect, whether viewed from the Aqeedah and Shari'ah-Shari'a taught:
1.Islam menauhidkan ordered to prohibit the Almighty and shirk.
2.Islam ordered to do right and forbids lying.
3.Islam commanded to do justice and forbids injustice.
4.Islam order to fulfill its mandate and prohibit treason.
5.Islam ordered to keep his promise and ban breach of promise.
6.Islam ordered to devote to both parents and prohibits disobedience to their deeds.
7.Islam ordered to establish a friendship (kinship disconnected) with relatives and Islam forbids the act decided friendship.
8.Islam ordered to have a good relationship with neighbors and prohibit unkind to them.
In general it can be said that Islam commands all noble spirit and morals that prohibit low and contemptible. Islam commands all sorts of pious deeds and forbid all bad deeds. Allah ta'ala says,
إن الله يأمر بالعدل والإحسان وإيتاء ذي القربى وينهى عن الفحشاء والمنكر والبغي يعظكم لعلكم تذكرون
"Verily Allah commands doing justice, charity and giving to relatives living relatives. And God forbid all forms of shameful and unjust deeds, and actions violating the limit. God reminds you that you want to take lessons. "(Surah An Nahl: 90)
